hey- it’s been a while.

lavender orange has been such a gift, so much so that I have had an abundance of book-related opportunities since i published the very first episode. from author events to bookseller conferences to a very special june jordan tribute-thank you emma for the invitation.

i have learned so much and have had the honor of connecting with people who find deep comfort in books, who find themselves because a writer took the time to share their offering. how can i resist the urge to keep going, to keep using my voice?

can i start to share my big dreams with you?

i’ve realized, i love to record most when i am processing big emotions. recently, my gram completed this cycle of her life. i say this because she deeply believed in reincarnation & i believe she’s right. this season…i want to share more about the lessons i learned from her…an aries sun, scorpio rising. i have a feeling the next few episodes will be about that: the power of using your voice & the danger of staying silent.

did you know that the first daughter of each generation in my family are all scorpio risings?

i find it funny that i’ve recorded this essay three times & yet, i am not quite sure why it is so important to me. i just feel it. maybe i can follow up once the words arrive.
